Real Corn Only! Day 10

Well, it's Day 10.  Really haven't noticed much of a difference.  To be honest, the more I think about it, the more I realize that I already didn't eat much HFCS anyway.  The main thing was the occasinoal Soda and Candy.  The things I need to watch out for are things that are fried in Corn Oil.  Last Week I biked 50 miles and immediately went to Mongolian Barbecue to gorge myself and got a huge plate of steamed vegetables because I wasn't sure about any of their sauces, and after that I got some potatoes.  The potatoes were probably fried in Corn Oil, which I didn't think about until afterwards.
The other day at Checkers I was filling the chicken and this guy
asked me why Smart Chicken was called Smart Chicken, and I told him that it didn't have antibiotics and stuff like that and he seemed to know this.  He asked me if I'd ever seen a feedlot for cows and I said "Yes" and he said it's pretty gross huh?  But then he proeeded to tell me about how we are so full of antibiotics and bad things, then he bought the cheap chicken instead of the Smart Chicken.  It was weird.  He had the knowledge and faculties to know what was going on, but, seemingly, chose to not care, which I can't really blame him for.  At least he had made a decision.
This morning I watched the first episode of the This American Life tv show, which was about this family who cloned their beloved pet bull.  The original bull was completely tame and friendly and they loved him.  They let him roam around free and he never caused any trouble, ya know, that sort of thing.  Then the cloned one kept getting violent with the owners, but they kept believing that it would turn out to be just like the old one.  It seems true that you can manifest things if you believe them enough.
Either way, it seems that the change may be coming.  I think some people are starting to realize that even though the idea of unnatural things may be good, they may not turn out the same.  Maybe that's my manifestation that I choose to see.

It's been a while/Corn Diet day 2

It always seems to be a while on these blogs.  So, I decided to re-do my whole raw idea.  I want to be raw someday for sure, but I think it's not going to work by just switching over.  On April 1st I switched to being Vegan for 2 months, and then went to just Vegetarian for a while.  I'll switch to Vegan once I feel comfortable enough as a Vegetarian to switch.  Then if I ever feel ready I'll switch to being Raw, or whatever I decide.

That's one thing, but here's where the real post is:  I am now starting a month long "Real Corn Only" diet.  I'm will eat regular ass corn from the cob or wherever, but no corn products other than that.  No High Fructose Corn Syrup, or Corn oil, or anything like that.  It's day 2 right now and it's really not much of a big deal.  Pretty similar to being Vegan, but I'll probably buy some milk soon, I just need to make sure it's milk from cows that are fed grain instead a diet of corn.

we'll see how it goes.  Lot's of nice veggies and fruits so far!

5/24/07 - Day 4

Me and Kay went to breakfast at Milton's and I had a fruit cup and some bananas I brought. The fruit cup wasn't that great. It's been raining in town and me and Caleb went to play frisbee in the rain without shoes on. It was great, and I didn't feel like I wasn't' getting enough protein and stuff. I also decided that I'm going to do this for a month and then decide where to go next. Tonight I'm thinking about getting sushi with Caleb and some other people possibly.

5/23/07 - Day 3

Today it was pretty hard to wake up and get moving, but I think it was from all the coffee yesterday. I just ate fruit all day today. I played some music for a little while then took a nap. That evening I bought some fresh fruit and made a real thick smoothie and ate it. I tried to eat a salad, but it wasn't tasting like the right thing so I just ate fruit. My muscles feel a little tired. I think I need to eat more nuts and seeds to get protein and fats.

5/22/07 - Day 2

The first thing I noticed this morning was how awake I felt after just waking up. At the end of the night last night I had a lot of cravings for cooked food, but I didn't eat any and it was worth it when I marked the first day off on my calender.
Me and Kay went to Wheatfields for breakfast and I ate an orange and an apple and a banana then we went to Jim's and I had a piece of cake that I didn't want to pass up. I drank a bunch of coffee and threw around a frisbee with Caleb. After that we made some smoothies with frozen fruit and some tropicana orange juice (not raw), but it was a real good smoothie. At night I tend to get a real craving for something cooked.

5/21/07 - The beginning

This is the first post of my raw journal. I started doing raw food yesterday. In March I had 12 days of raw food and I felt great, and the first thing I noticed after eating cooked food was how bad I felt. So I'm going to go all the way this time. I ate some fruit and a few big salads today. It felt great, and the biggest difference was how I felt later in the day. I already noticed a change in my upper body because I didn't have a bunch of food in my belly.
